Synopsis

After Carol leaves to see a specialist regarding her legs,Hal visits Oliver in his new apartment.But upon arriving quickly leaves when he hears of the Dam around the city Carol is currently in is being destroyed.Green Lantern is quickly able remove the bombs and plug the damage before being greeted by acting mayor and doctor Palm, who insists on showing the exhausted Green Lantern around and throwing him a part in celebration.He then is escorted around seeing the city's polluted state from the many factories before being led to receive the key to the city.He then attempts to leave but is unable to concentrate his willpower crashing to the ground and being beaten by several of Palm's men but before he is captured he manages to send his rind back to Oliver.While back at Oliver the ring arrives, but the arrival of Black Canary distracts Oliver as he takes her out for dinner.While meanwhile Hal awakens temporarily paralyzed by his old foe the Black Hand, who has taken the guise of Dr.Palm.He quickly reveals his plan of mass brainwashing, and utilizes it to begin to convince the citizens that Green Lantern caused the damage to the dam.He then allows the powerless Green Lantern, and crippled Carol to leave and face the dangers of the furious citizens.Meanwhile following the disastrous end to his date, Oliver returns to find Green Lantern's ring and quickly suits up to help his friend and returns to Hal's hotel to recharge the ring.As Green Lantern and Carol are surrounded, Oliver manages to rearm Hal by shooting his ring onto his finger,he then detains the brainwashed citizens and encases Black Hand in a prison of melted plastic.As an angry Olliver walks home he is ambushed by a group of young muggers, and makes short work of them but while distracted is shot by an arrow from a crossbow as the thieves run off. He then staggers around but is ignored by a police officer and a wealthy couple, before staggering into a hospital and collapsing.Upon awakening he sees the arrow recognizing...
